NBC: THE SNL50 EXPERIENCE

Role: Sr. Production Coordinator

This one-of-a-kind experience in January of 2025 was a career highlight to say the least. My team collaborated with NBC to create a 20-minute backstage immersive experience which highlighted some the most iconic SNL sets to date, for the 50th anniversary of this cultural landmark. For a limited time, anyone could be an SNL host for the night!

The space included replicas of the 8H stage, a cue cards hallway, the Weekend Update desk, a prop hallway exhibit, a D*ck In A Box photo moment, a hair and makeup area, the Wayne’s World set, and the Five Timer’s Club. No detail was spared. The SNL team kindly allowed us to display real, historic props from the show, along with authentic wigs and costumes.

With the help of brand ambassadors, immersive actors, real stage managers, set designers, and more, people were left with fun giveaways and unforgettable memories.

I was tasked with handling a 500+ item propping grid, which made this immersive experience one-of-a-kind. Not only were we asked to recreate iconic sets, we were also handling historic costumes and props from the SNL show itself. It was an honor to have worked on something so iconic, and watching super-fans go through the space with such childlike wonder made the long hours and braving the NYC winter in a basement for two weeks worth it.
