FX: D23

Role: Production Coordinator

For Disney’s highly coveted annual D23 convention in 2024, NVE collaborated with FX to develop a special immersive experience. The footprint highlighted the award-winning TV series The Bear and Shogun, as well as Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story Wax Museum.

Guests of D23 were greeted with the iconic FX logo surrounded by a zen garden straight from 1600s Japan. The space included a replica of the kitchen in The Bear, where folks could order from a set menu of specially-made branded premiums, which included an apron wrapped like a hoagie. The team also participated in the Great Pin Pursuit, gifting guests an exclusive pin at the to-go counter to add to their convention collection. Following The Bear, guests are met with two real costumes from Shogun. After this, they finally make it to the American Horror Story Wax Museum, which contained 3D foam-sculpted creepy crawlers. The last piece D23 goers were left with, was a glass-stained window display and wax seal keychain, teasing fans about the upcoming Ryan Murphy show, Grotesquerie.

My role as a coordinator on this project included end-to-end production needs like: vendor communication, premiums logistics and inventory, graphics deliverables and branding grid management, BOH management, BAs training, and venue communications.
